A Centuries-Old Tradition. A New Home in Houston.
For centuries, charitable kitchens in Hebron have represented a powerful Islamic tradition: feeding the hungry, welcoming strangers, and caring for people regardless of their background.
Our faith inspires us. Our service is for everyone.

More than a food pantry. A tradition of humanity.
Inspired by the hospitality of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), the legacy of charitable endowments, and generations of community service, Takeya of Houston seeks to bring this tradition to life in Greater Houston.
Through the Multi Cultural Center's established food assistance program, volunteers already help approximately 150–170 families every week.
Our vision is to establish a permanent, sustainable community kitchen—a place where generosity becomes nourishment, faith becomes action, and everyone is treated with dignity.
The need is closer than you think.
Behind Houston's economic growth and prosperity, too many of our neighbors struggle to put food on the table. Behind the numbers are working mothers, children, seniors, refugees, and families facing difficult financial decisions.
39%

50%

Figures represent different study populations. The first three are survey results; the fourth is a regional population estimate.
A community's strength is measured by how it cares for its most vulnerable members.
